Definition
To include beds to which patients can be assigned from departments not directly above the OU in the organizational hierarchy in the search for free bed locations, you can assign a department to a building unit (e.g. room or bed location) as a planning characteristic.
If you select this option when searching for free bed locations, the system also takes into account these beds supporting inter-departmental assignment.
