Definition

By setting this parameter, you specify that you do not want to be able to classify diagnoses as the cause of death in the diagnosis documentation.
Consequently, the Cause of death indicator does not appear in the data screens of diagnosis editing and is not available for evaluations.

The following diagnosis classes are managed in the IS-H System:

• Admission diagnoses
• Discharge diagnoses/treatment certificate diagnoses
• Surgery diagnoses
• Cause of death
• Department main diagnoses
• Hospital main diagnoses

The cause of death is a diagnosis which characterizes the illness of which the patient died.
