Documentation
Definition
By setting this parameter, you specify that you do not want to be able to classify diagnoses as discharge diagnoses in the diagnosis documentation.
Consequently, the Discharge diagnosis indicator does not appear in the data screens of diagnosis editing and is not available for evaluations.
The following diagnosis classes are managed in the IS-H System:
- Admission diagnoses
- Discharge diagnoses/treatment certificate diagnoses
- Surgery diagnoses
- Cause of death
- Department main diagnoses
- Hospital main diagnoses
The discharge diagnosis for an inpatient case and the treatment certificate diagnosis for an outpatient case is the diagnosis communicated externally (outside of the hospital) at the end of treatment. This diagnosis class is checked at invoicing and communicated externally on the invoice or treatment certificate.
