Definition

If a maximum service value rule specifies that the system is to generate an alternative service to cover the difference between the existing quantity and the maximum quantity allowed, you have to specify the alternative service in this field. If you do not enter an alternative service, the system simply creates the corresponding number of original services as non-billable services.

Notes

• The system can only generate services from the in-house service catalog. This is why you can only specify the in-house service catalog as the service catalog for the alternative service in the SC field.
• Note that you need to have selected Perform actions for this rule type in the IMG step Maintain check procedure.
