Definition
Indicates relevancy for determining a DRG. This indicator is normally set by an external DRG coding and grouping system. If it is set, the flagged procedure was used to determine the DRG. If it is not set, the procedure was irrelevant to the determination of the DRG.
This indicator is independent of the DRG category (principal/secondary procedure).
