Definition
This field contains the length of stay for DRGs in days.
The field is located in the following form structures for form printing:
- RNFDRG: DRG surcharge/discount for the DRG services of the invoice
- RNFKR1: Header and control data for invoice form printing
A DRG invoice can contain multiple DRG services (e.g. mother with newborn). In such cases, the newborn's length of stay can differ from the mother's length of stay.
The form structure RNFKR1 contains the length of stay for the case for which the invoice was created. For the example "mother with newborn" the form structure RNFKR1 contains the mother's length of stay.
The form structure RNFDRG contains the length of stay for the case to which the DRG service belongs. Thus, if the mother's invoice contains the newborn's DRG service, the form structure RNFDRG with the newborn's DRG service also contains the newborn's length of stay.

For readmission cases, the system also uses all preceding cases to calculate the DRG key figures.
The value therfore shows the full view of the underlying DRG up to the selected case.
