DRG Billing Germany:

Revenue-related length of stay of a case for option model 2003

KFPV: length of stay = number of days covered by FR/case = admission day + each further day of hospitalization without transfer or discharge day. If a patient is admitted and transferred or discharged on the same day, this day counts as the admission day.

Assumption: if an absence exists, the last day of presence counts.

Dependencies

For readmission cases, the system also uses all preceding cases to calculate the DRG key figures.
The value therfore shows the full view of the underlying DRG up to the selected case.
