Here you determine whether the system is to use the discharge date or the borrowing date when calculating the due date for returning medical records.
If you specified the discharge date as the reference date and the medical record was borrowed for an inpatient treatment, the due date for returning the medical record is calculated by adding the borrowing duration stored for the borrowing reason to the discharge date. If, on the other hand, the medical record was borrowed for an outpatient treatment, the due date is calculated by adding the borrowing duration stored for the borrowing reason to the date of the last visit.
If you specified the borrowing date as the reference date, the due date for returning medical records is calculated by adding borrowing duration stored for the borrowing reason to the borrowing date.
