Definition
Makes sure that implausible meter reading results are not included in unbilled revenue reporting.
Use
Unbilled revenue reporting simulates installations for periods that have not yet been billed. Consumption values are usually extrapolated for the simulation period on the basis of existing meter reading results. However, extrapolation terminates if the system finds a meter reading result with the following status:
- Automatically locked
- Locked by agent
- Independently checked
Meter reading results are given the status automatically locked, for example, if they do not pass a plausibility check. These kinds of meter reading results cannot be used for extrapolation before they have been analyzed in more detail.
However, due to time restrictions, it is often not possible to check, correct or release all implausible meter reading results for unbilled revenue reporting. Therefore, the installations that belong to these implausible results cannot be included in unbilled revenue reporting.
However, if you select this field, meter reading results with the statuses mentioned above are excluded from extrapolation during unbilled revenue reporting. In many cases, this means that extrapolation can be executed using the remaining plausible meter reading results.
Dependencies
- Important: Ignoring meter reading results leads to a loss of data. A particularly high consumption that exceeds the upper tolerance level of the plausibility check, can be a correct value. Extrapolation of an installation is normally less accurate if you can only use older, plausible results. As result, you must try to keep the number of implausible meter reading results before unbilled revenue reporting as low as possible.
- This indicator cannot guarantee that extrapolation can be carried out in all cases. Some meter reading results have to be included in extrapolation. If they are not there, extrapolation cannot take place. Example: Meter reading due to a change in the installation structure. Implausible meter reading results are only ignored if they have certain meter reading reasons, such as periodic meter reading, interim meter reading, control reading.
