Definition

If you want to save the selected data, you must enter a name in this field under which the data is saved. You can only call up the saved report again by entering this name. You can display the saved report as often as you wish.

Use

You should save reports that have been defined for a specific period and are to be used later. By doing so, you do not have to go through the selection procedure when you call them up again and it improves system performance.

Examples

If you use monthly reports, for example, you should save these reports after they have been completed. You will of course want be able to look at February's report in November. To improve system performance and response times, you should access the saved report.

Note

If you enter a '*' for the name of the selected data when the report is output, the system displays a dialog box when you press Enter. The dialog box contains the list of the saved data from which you can select the required set of data.

You can define the value '*' or any other value as a default value for the name of the saved data in your user master record. To do so, call up the function 'System' -> 'User profile' -> 'User parameters' and enter the desired value for the parameter ID 'GRX'.
