Use

If there is an actual settlement that has the same asset class and cost center as a depreciation simulation, and its posting date is in the same year as the planned capitalization date, the system offsets the settlement amounts against the simulation amounts. When doing so, the system starts with the oldest simulation distributions and the oldest settlements.

The portion of the overall amount that can be offset is shown under 'offset'. The remaining amount is shown under 'open plan' or 'open actual'.

The result makes it possible for you to compare planned amounts with settlements that have actually taken place.
