Definition

Set this indicator, if you want to treat the measures and/or appropriation requests that you carry forward as if they were current measures/appropriation requests in the new fiscal year (following the fiscal year change).

Use

If you set this indicator, and also choose the "carry forward budget values" and "carry forward plan values" functions, the system increases the current budget and plan values of the investment program consistently across the board by the total amount of the budget and plan values of the measures/appropriation requests that you carried forward. The system does not create separate carryforward values for them.

The measures/appropriation requests that you carry forward using this method are displayed in reports in the old approval year. However, you can no longer change them using the prior investment program.

If the measures received their budgets by means of budget distribution, then these budgets appear as if they were distributed in the new approval year from the investment program position in the new investment program.

Note

You cannot reverse the affects of this function. It is particularly important to be aware of the following:

  • If you repeat the fiscal year change, the system still does not remove these measures from the new investment program, even if the measures were closed in the meantime.
