Definition
Enter a reporting currency in this field, if you want reports to be in a currency different from the controlling area currency.
Reports then show the budget, plan, actual and commitment values of an object in this reporting currency, if the object has the reporting currency as its object currency.
If the object does not have the reporting currency as its object currency, then the values of the object that are in the controlling area currency are translated into the reporting currency.
- For this currency translation in reporting for investment programs, the system uses the exchange rate type entered for group reporting in Customizing in the program type of the investment program.
For reporting for appropriation requests, the system uses the exchange rate type entered for group reporting in Customizing in the program type entered in the appropriation request type. - The first day of the approval year is used as the key date for the currency translation. If no approval year can be found, the system uses the first day of the calendar year as the key date.
