Documentation
Definition
Specifies the numbers of organizational units that belong to the same type (for example, company code).
Use
This number helps you to choose individual organizational units of the same type.
Example
You want to generate an investment program from company codes. When doing so, you do not want to include all company codes; you want company codes 0001, 0002, 0004, 0005, but not 0003.
To do so, you define two intervals: The first interval receives the number 1 as sequential number and includes company codes 0001-0002, the second interval receives the number 2 as sequential number and includes company codes 0004-0005.
In addition to the company codes, you can also want to take business area 1000 into account in the investment program. Since the business area is a different type of organizational unit, it is assigned the number 1 as sequential number.
