This field contains the sequential number of an SAP segment within an IDoc. The numbering is carried out in increments of 1 starting at 1.
Applications
No action required.
IDoc interface
It checks whether the segment number is filled in increments of 1 (in ascending order) starting from 1. If a segment number does not exist, it is assigned by the EDI interface.
EDI subsystem
Outbound IDocs:
No action required.
Inbound IDocs:
The field must be filled in increments of 1 (in ascending order) starting from 1.
