IDoc interface

Outbound IDocs:
The reference number in the control record is updated when the respective status record has been received. Any references stored previously are overwritten by the last value.

Inbound IDocs:
No action required.

EDI subsystem

Outbound IDocs:
The reference number is blank. It is passed to the SAP System via the status records of the IDoc.

Inbound IDoc type:
The field must be filled with the reference number of the EDI message.
