Definition
If you set this indicator for a characteristic, the internal business volume is eliminated from the total business for this characteristic. The characteristic can be part of a logical row, column, or the report selection.
If a characteristic is set ("receiver"), a corresponding characteristic ("sender") must exist in the database. You can only make an entry in the checkbox for those characteristics for which a sender characteristic is defined (in table T804C).
Using the current contents of the receiver and sender characteristic, the system decides whether and to what extent each amount is included in the current report for each database record read.
The internal business volume is eliminated from the total business on a hierarchical basis. This means that an amount is eliminated from those subtotals which include data from receivers and senders.
Example:
One of the row characteristics is the business area (characteristic "RBUSA"). The corresponding business area is the characteristic "SBUSA". The business area hierarchy is determined by the following single-dimension set (the resulting report is shown schematically to the right of the set):
*--------* ** RBUSA-11 ...,..
|RBUSA-11| * RBUSA-21 ...,..
*--------* 0000 ...,..
| *--------* ...
>---|RBUSA-21| 0000 1000 1000 ...,..
| *--------* * RBUSA-22 ...,..
| *--------* 1001 ...,..
>---|RBUSA-22| 1001 2000 ...
*--------* 2000 ...,..
For example, if a database record has the receiver RBUSA = 0001 and the sender SBUSA = 0500, the respective amount is eliminated from all the subtotals of the report, since both values are in the same basic set. For RBUSA = 1500 and SBUSA = 0600, however, the amount is first elminated from the overall total, since this is the lowest total in the hierarchy that contains data from the business areas 1500 and 0600.
