Definition
External (Logical) System
- In the SAP environment, the logical system should be identified as such by a indicator with a maximum of 10 characters. A logical system is one in which an application works with shared data.
- In the ALE environment, two or more logical systems communicate with each other. Settings made in the Implementation Guide (IMG) describe how the logical systems are stored.
Notes
Always enter the logical system in capital letters.
