Definition

The value number of a maintenance package determines its place in the hierarchy.

You can use the hierarchy to define the priority of maintenance packages with the same due date.

Note

• If several maintenance packages are due at the same time, they must have the same hierarchy.
• If a maintenance package is to replace other maintenance packages when due, it must have a higher hierarchy.

Examples

If two packages with the same hierarchy are due at the same time, then both packages are performed.

If the two packages have different hierarchies, only the package with the higher hierarchy is performed.
