Definition
If you set this indicator, the transaction data of the relevant ledger cannot be deleted using standard FI-SL tools. However, the indicator does not have any effect if parts of the data posted directly to the ledger are integrally deleted. If, for example, all the transaction data of a company code are deleted in FI, this data will also be deleted from the appropriate ledgers even if the productive indicator is set.
If the system is instructed in archiving to archive all transaction data for a specific ledger and then delete it, the productive indicator is also not taken into account.
