Definition
In this field, you can specify the maximum length of stay of a patient who is attended by an external physician. The maximum length of stay (MLS) determines how long a case is settled by the respective flat rate per case. As of the day on which the maximum length of stay is reached, further charges (departmental per diem) can be billed for.
The MLS is calculated in days. (Germany)
