Definition
The business area is an organizational unit for which balance sheets as well as profit and loss statements can be created for internal reporting.
Unlike the company code, the business area does not represent a legally independent unit. In this way, it is not subject to the legal accounting requirements which have to be fulfilled in external reporting.
You can specify the business areas which are to be taken into consideration when processing the bills of exchange. You can specify this as an interval or as individual values. Several business areas must be separated by blanks or by commas. Intervals are represented by parentheses.
