Summarizes objects created with master data maintenance.
This term is also the name of a node in hierarchically structured groups.
The group name must be unique in a class and contains a specified Maximum_length.
Use
The groups are used to make work easier. Group names let you edit togeth er objects of the same type within Controlling.

Use
You can create standard hierarchies for cost centers, profit centers, and business processes. All other groups are alternatives, and are known as alternative hierarchies. These are often created to make past or future versions of the standard hierarchy available in the system, without changing the current standard hierarchy.
The enterprise organization contains tools that can be used to generate standard and alternative hierarchies automatically (-> Details).

Use
The business process group summarizes the business processes that are to be used for the periodic settlement of setup or clean-out orders within the production campaign.
Procedure
Enter the business process group you require or change it (choose Environment -> Change business process group). If no suitable business process groups exist, you can create a business process group.
Dependencies
For settlement using business processes, you must have specified this in the planning recipe of a setup or clean-out order.
