Documentation
Definition
Enter a date here for the planned retirement date of the asset.
Use
The system interprets this date for the depreciation simulation/forecast, if you set the "Simulate only to planned retirement" indicator in the selection screen of the given standard report.
The system then treats the assets in the report as if they were actually retired on the planned date.
In any case, if a deactivation date is entered in an asset due to a retirement posting, this date takes precedence during the retirement simulation.
Note
If the catch-up method is being used, then depreciation ends in the period of the planned retirement, dependent on when the retirement should take place in the period. For the smoothing method, the system simulates depreciation up to the end of the fiscal year, so that setting this indicator only affects the amount of depreciation.
