Definition
A table group in Special Purpose Ledger consists of five individual tables that must comply with a specific naming convention.
If, for example, your table group is called 'GLREF', the following tables are created via the transaction currently being processed:
- GLREFT --> Summary table
- GLREFA --> Actual line item table
- GLREFP --> Plan line item table
- GLREFO --> Object table 1 (object/partner)
- GLREFC --> Object table 2 (transaction attributes)
The above example illustrates how the last letter of the table group is the only factor that distinguishes the five table names from each other. It is important for you to know the naming convention if you have to make subsequent manual changes in the Repository. You must also know the name of the individual tables if you want to proceed with the installation of the table group after the definition.
