Definition
Host name (logical name) for vault computer that data is transferred to using DVA (Direct Vault Access) and not via an application server.
Use
This computer is only relevant to a data carrier that you want to use as a DVA vault.
If you want to execute the data transfer using DVA (Direct Vault Access), then you cannot store the files in vaults that are accessible via an application server.
Procedure
Only enter the DVA computer if you want to transfer the original application files directly to the secure storage area (vault) using DVA.

Dependencies
If you want to use Direct Vault Access (DVA) to transfer original data from the vault to the front end computer, then you should carry out the following:
- Maintain Global Settings
By doing this, you activate DVA.
- Define Data Carrier Type
By doing this, you define the data carrier type "Vault".
- After you have entered the computer, you should also enter the access path for the vault on this computer.
