Classifies the type of business transaction that is performed.

Use

In the European Union (EU) this information is needed to transmit import and export data to INTRASTAT. See INTRASTAT Declaration.

The system uses this business transaction type for Legal Control. If a license is assigned to an item on a sales order, the business transaction type of the item must correspond to the business transaction type in the license.

For maintaining licenses, the system uses the country of the company code as the country key to determine the values allowed for the business transaction type.

Example

The classifications are as follows:

• Goods that are sold in the normal manner
• Goods that are exported to a subcontractor
• Goods that are dispatched as cost-free samples
