Definition

The meaning of the document date depends on the area in which it is used. These areas include:

1. Purchase order
   Date on which the purchase order is created.
2. Inbound delivery
   Date on which the goods are to be delivered by the vendor.
3. Goods receipt
   The document date specifies the issue date of the original document.
   The document date can refer, for example, to the creation date of the vendor's delivery note or the internal goods receipt slip.
4. Delivery
   Date on which the goods must leave the shipping point so that they reach the customer on time.
   Once the goods leave the shipping point, the system automatically creates goods issue document in order to record goods issue. The invoice that you send to the customer must correspond to the goods movement. The goods issue date allows Accounting to link the goods movement with the invoice.
   The system automatically determines the goods issue date by taking into account the following aspects:
   o Requested delivery date
   o Transit time
   You can change the date manually during delivery processing.
