Definition
Capacity in capacity leveling which is still available for the purposes of dispatching.
The free capacity is calculated according to one of the following formulas:
- Free capacity = available capacity - capacity requirements due to dispatched operations or
- Free capacity = available capacity - capacity requirements due to dispatched operations - capacity requirements due to operations not yet dispatched (pool).
You specify the formula to be used in the calculation in Profile for capacity planning table (tabular form) in Customizing for capacity leveling and the extended evaluation.
