Documentation
Definition
Key identifying the formula.
Use
You can use formulas as aids in calculating quantities.
You can define formulas freely in Customizing.
You can specify up to five variables per formula, to which you can assign units of measure.
Formulas can process the usual mathematical functions (e.g. sin, cos) and constants (e.g. pi, e).
Example
When entering services performed, you wish to specify the number of hours taken to dig a trench of a certain size and shape.
Using a formula defined in Customizing, the system can calculate the number of hours on the basis of the trench dimensions.
Procedure
Choose a formula from those defined in your system (use the value help if necessary). After you have entered the relevant values, the system will calculate the quantity.
If you need further formulas, contact your system administrator.
