Documentation
Definition
Indicator that a check number is only issued and entered in the check register for actual checks. Voided checks (sample printout, page overflow and form summary section) are not noted in the check register.
Use
You can set this indicator in the following circumstances:
- If the check number is printed by the printer on the check (meaning you are not using pre-numbered checks) then it may be necessary to suppress the numbering of the voided checks for legal or organizational reasons, and to give a sequence number which is entered in the check register only to the actual checks.
- For pre-numbered checks you would like to print only the actual checks on the check forms, the page overflow is to be printed on letter paper. To do this, you have to proceed as follows:
The output of sample prints has to be suppressed using the related parameters. The actual check is printed on the first page by the appropriate change to the form page FIRST, no check is printed on pages NEXT and LAST. The page FIRST is sent to print tray 1 (where the check forms are), whereas pages NEXT and LAST are output in print tray 2, which is where the letter paper is.
In this instance, by setting the indicator you can make sure that only the actual checks are entered in the check register.
