Definition
The control message is used in serialized distribution to start processing inbound IDocs in a certain serialization group in the receiving system. The control message also contains information about the order the IDocs are to be processed in.
Usually the control message is then only sent after all the IDocs of the serialization group have been successfully dispatched from the sending system. If the flag is set the control message is always sent.
