Documentation
Definition
Standard Federal transaction codes are defined by the SGL Board and are used by U.S. Federal Agencies. These transaction codes are meant to represent all of the business events that have a financial impact to Agencies. Each transaction code is associated with a series of Debit and Credit SGL Acount postings that can be impacted by the business event. The transaction codes are numbered based on the business event that the transaction represents.
