Definition

Specifies how the commitment budget is handled by the year-end change operations.

Use

• If the indicator is not set (SPACE), the commitment budget carryforward is not allowed.
• If the indicator is set to (X), the commitment budget was carried forward with the commitment carryforward and a budget document is generated. This is only possible if you use the Budget Control System (BCS).
• If the indicator is set to (N), the carryforward of commitment budget is allowed. In this case, the commitment budget is carried forward in a batch with programs RFFMCF25 and RFFMCF25.

You define whether the carryforward of commitment budget is allowed or forbidden in the Customizing of closing operations for Funds Management either in the Default Settings or if necessary in other steps for each value type.

If commitment budget carryforward is allowed, the system sets this indicator to X in the commitment carryforward documents, if the BCS is active, or to N if you do not use the BCS.
