Definition
Specifies how this key figure from this information structure is aggregated and disaggregated if the consistent planning method is used. Three options are available:
- no aggregation or disaggregation (" ")
- data is totaled (aggregation) and distributed proportionally (disaggregation) ("X")
- an average is calculated ("D")
Option " "
The key figure value is neither aggregated nor disaggregated. This option is suitable in cases where aggregation and disaggregation would be superfluous such as auxiliary lines.
Option "X"
This is the default setting.
The system aggregates the data by totaling it.
The method of disaggregation depends on whether planning data has already been maintained. If planning is being carried out for the first time, the data is distributed evenly. If planning data already exists, the new data is distributed in accordance with the proportions derived from the existing planning data at the detailed level. Furthermore, you can use the Disaggregate line function in the planning table to disaggregate data using the proportional factors in the planning hierarchy master record.
Option "D"
If no planning data has yet been maintained, data you enter at the aggregate level is copied to the detailed levels.
If you create or change data at the detailed level, the new value at the aggregate level is calculated as the mean average of the values at the detailed level.
If you change data at the aggregate level, the values at the detailed level change so that each one represents the same proportion of the aggregate value as before.
This option is suitable for percentages such as "percentage of purchasing budget already released".
