Definition
Key for factory calendar. This calendar specifies the public holidays that apply to a truck route. These public holidays affect the automatic generation of daily truck routes using the generation rule.
Note
The factory calendar can affect generation of day objects (such as issues of editions) in two ways, depending on whether the object is published daily or at a different frequency (non-dailies such as monthly magazines).
- When generating dailies, the system only refers to the public holidays defined in the factory calendar and the workdays are of no relevance here. The weekday on which the object is published is defined in the generation rule. (Public holidays are defined in the public holiday calendar referenced by the factory calendar.)
- When generating non-dailies, the system refers to the factory calendar containing public holidays and workdays.
For example, a monthly magazine is always generated for the 25th of the month. In this particular month, the 25th is a Saturday, which, while it is not a public holiday, is not a workday either. In this case, the system changes the publication date to a different workday, for example Friday 24th.
