Documentation
Definition
The company code represents an independent accounting unit (for example a company within a group).
The legally-required balance sheet and profit and loss statement are prepared at the company code level.
You can enter the company code generically, with an '*' on the right, as follows:
- '0001'
- '000*'
- '00* '
- '0* '
- '* '
Please note: The system can no longer precisely determine currency fields if you make this kind of generic entry. It automatically selects a currency with two decimal places. This means that you should not generically enter company codes with different decimal places in their currency together.
