Definition
The value entered here for the number of decimal places is interpreted as follows:
- A unit field has not been entered
Values for the key figure are read and printed using the specified number of decimal places.
If it is a floating point number (type FLTP), the value will be rounded to the specified number of decimal places when it is read.
- A unit field has been entered
Values for the key figure are read using the specified number of decimal places, but the values are printed according to the current unit. This is normally the case for units of measure because quantity amounts are usually stored with 3 decimal places, irrespective of the unit of measure.
