Use
If you select this indicator, all functions for processing sets except for hierarchy maintenance are available for processing groups. This makes group processing accessible. For more information on the functions of set processing, refer to the SAP Library under Financials -> Financial Accounting -> Special Purpose Ledgers -> Tools -> Sets -> Creating Sets -> Entering Subordinate Sets in Single-Dimension Sets and Entering Basic Set Values.
If you do not select this indicator, group processing is based on hierarchy maintenance (main tree) and is not accessible.
Dependencies
If the indicator is selected, you cannot access master data processing directly. Also, the following additional restrictions apply when creating and changing groups that are part of a standard hierarchy:
- Only empty subgroups can be added or removed.
- It is not possible to directly reassign hierarchy nodes.
- The values in the group can only be displayed.
- The hierarchy node of a value cannot be changed.
These restrictions do not apply to individual processing of master data or the standard hierarchy.
