Definition
Causes the characteristic Segment to be updated to the totals tables in Controlling (CO).
Use
Updating the segment in CO totals tables has the advantage that credit postings can be made from the CO sender objects using the segments during assessments within CO, since these allocations are based on the CO totals tables. However, this increases the number of CO totals tables, which can have a negative effect on performance during assessments and distributions in CO.
