Definition

Provides a complete description of a reorganization to be performed on a specific date (reorganization date).

Use

Dependencies

A reorganization plan is characterized by the following date:

  • The reorganization date
  • The restrictions to a reorganization plan that determine the organizational units affected (such as restriction to a specific controlling area)
  • One or more reorganization packages

    The reorganization packages assigned to the reorganization plan determine the objects to be reorganized and their new account assignments.

Example

You want to change the assignments of material-plant combinations to profit centers on January 1 of the following fiscal year.

  1. For this, create a reorganization plan with January 1 as the reorganization date.
  2. Restrict the selection of organizational units to those that are affected (such as the controlling area and the relevant company codes).
  3. Create one or more report reorganization packages.
  4. In these reorganization packages, determine which material-plant combinations are to be included in the reorganization.
