Definition

Specifies from which date the statistical key figure is valid.

Use

Depending on the key figure category, the From Date is used as follows:

• Key figures with category 1 (fixed value, such as Employee)

  In the case of key figures with category 1, you need to enter a From Date for your combination of statistical key figure and organizational unit (for example, cost center, profit center, and segment). Key figures with category 1 are stored for a given time interval.

• Key figures with category 2 (totals value, such as Telephone Units)

  In the case of key figures with category 2, you need to enter a From Date for your combination of statistical key figure and organizational unit (for example, cost center, profit center, and segment). Key figures with category 2 are stored for an exact date.

Dependencies

For period evaluation, the From Date is used as follows:

• For key figures with category 1, the system considers the last day of the period.
• For key figures with category 2, the total is calculated for all days in the period.
