Documentation
Definition
Key date from which CO documents are transferred from CO-internal allocations into Financial Accounting.
Use
If you specify a key date, only CO documents with a posting date equal to or subsequent to the key date are transferred into Financial Accounting.
If you do not specify a key date, all relevant CO documents are transferred immediately, irrespective of the posting date.
Recommendation
If CO-internal allocations already exist, we recommend selecting the first day of the next period as the key date. You then have to repeat the reconciliation posting one last time for the current period.
You can also activate real-time integration retrospectively. You can then subsequently transfer documents that had not yet been transferred to Financial Accounting.
Dependencies
The key date is also valid for the subsequent transfer.
Example
You want to activate real-time integration retrospectively for 10/01/2004. You therefore enter 10/01/2004 as the key date for the activation of real-time integration.
In October 2004, CO-internal allocations have already taken place, but no reconciliation posting was made.
When you start the subsequent transfer for CO documents for which the posting date falls in October 2004, such CO documents are transferred to Financial Accounting.
When you start the subsequent transfer for CO documents for which the posting date falls before the key date (such as in September 2004), CO documents with a posting date preceding the key date are not transferred to Financial Accounting.
