Documentation
Definition
Depreciation area which provides the base values for calculating revaluation.
Use
When the system automatically makes the revaluation postings, it determines the revaluation to be posted based on the values from this depreciation area.
Supplementary Documentation - FAFABE 0001
Use
Grouping of depreciation areas that are supposed to be revaluated together
Procedure
The system revaluates all depreciation areas together that have the same base depreciation area defined for them. This term therefore means the same as the term "revaluation measure" in standard Customizing for Asset Accounting. The system assigns the values to these depreciation areas that were calculated during the revaluation of the basis depreciation area. The base depreciation area is entered in the definition of the revaluation key.
Examples
Depreciation area 10 and depreciation area 11 both have depreciation area 01 entered as their base area. In the definition of the revaluation key, depreciation area 12 is entered as the base area.
As a result, depreciation area 10 and depreciation area 11 both receive the value determined from the revaluation of depreciation area 12.
