Documentation
Definition
The sales shown in the accounts are updated each month in the fiscal year. A maximum of 16 fiscal months can be updated. You determine, per company code, how a fiscal year is divided into months. You could define 12 fiscal months (calendar months), or 13 fiscal months (4 weeks each), for example.
If you decide to use less than 16 fiscal months, you can use the remaining periods (in the example above, periods 13-16 or 14-16) as so-called special periods.
For accounting documents, the fiscal month is determined by the posting date. Alternatively, you can enter it directly if you want to update a special period rather than the last period of a fiscal year.
Use
The sales period is used to limit the fiscal month and year in which the sales were achieved. Enter this date in the following form: MM.YYYY.
