Definition
Export/Import procedure for Foreign Trade (five digits)
CAUTION: As of Release 4.5C, the new field EXPRN will be used (eight digits).
Specifies a uniform, five-digit key which uniquely identifies an export/import procedure.
Use
This key is required for business transactions within the European Union (EU) and is used for monthly INTRASTAT declarations. It is also used for statistics.
During export processing in Sales and Distribution, for example, the system can automatically propose an export/import procedure key based on the following criteria:
- Country from which the goods are exported or into which the goods are
imported - Sales area
- Export/Import material group
- Item category of the individual goods
You can exceed the proposed value in the delivery and in the billing document.
Example
The export/import procedure key can differentiate, for example, between the following export/import procedures:
- Goods which are delivered temporarily for subcontracting
- Goods which are delivered for final use after subcontracting
