Definition

Status in which you can create and edit business events.

Use

You can create a business event in two possible statuses: firmly booked and planned. Events must be in firmly booked status before you can perform follow-up processing or settle business event costs.

If you create a business event in planned status, you can use the following functions when you firmly book it:

  • In Customizing for Training and Event Management, in the step Control data, you can specify whether unplaced bookings on the waiting list are converted into prebookings for the event type or remain on the waiting list as rebookable attendees.
  • When an event is firmly booked, you can specify that this action automatically triggers output of definite confirmation of place to the attendees booked for the event.

Note

Once a business event is in firmly booked status, you cannot change it back to planned status.

Procedure

If you intend to use the function Firmly book, create the business event first in planned status.
