Documentation
Use
You can reduce the amount of work involved in creating measurement techniques if you enter a reference field.
If you do not enter a measurement method for project object in a percentage of completion (POC) field, the system will use the measurement method from the reference field.
Examples
You have defined the following field in Customizing:
- Plan POC Planned percentage of completion, Reference field: Actual POC
- Actual POC Actual percentage of completion
For one WBS element, you selected the milestone technique for the actual POC field, and did not enter a measurement method for the field Plan POC.
During the evaluation of field Plan POC, the system uses the milestone technique measurement method as well.
