Definition

Enter a reference object for the secondary proportionality measurement method. The percentage of completion(POC) for the reference object is copied into this project component. Permitted reference objects are network activities and WBS elements.

Example

You have five activites which are closely interlinked. You assume, therefore, that that all have the same earned value. You use the estimation measurement method for activity 10 and secondary proportionality for activities 20 - 50. You enter activity 10 as the reference object for activities 20 - 50.

As soon as activity 10 attains a POC of 80%, activities 20-50 automatically attain it too.
