Definition
A business event type is a grouping together of business events that share the same attributes.
Unlike the actual business event, the event type is not scheduled for a specific date. It serves as the blueprint that defines the general characteristics of the business event, including important information required for planning and creating business events, such as the resources required and a schedule model.

Use
A business event of the type specified here is being planned or created. You enter a numerical key with a maximum of 8 characters in the field.
Procedure
Enter a business event type in one of the following three ways:
- enter a search string for the event (business event abbreviation)
- click the down arrow at the end of the field
- specify the key for the business event type directly.

Use
The system generates a list of business events for the business event type you specify in this field. From this list, you can choose an event for which you can book an attendee. The field can contain a numeric value that is a maximum of 8 characters long.
Procedure

- click the down arrow to the right of the field
- enter the ID of the business event type directly.
